LUCIA (Sara Grizzaffi) is a Denver-based new media artist and designer who works with projection, sensors, and custom software to create responsive environments of light and sound. Her installations transform spaces into living experiences that shift and react with the presence of an audience.

Guided by patterns in the natural world and an interest in the nervous system, meditation, and healing, Lucia’s work explores how technology can open moments of connection and reflection. Each piece is less about spectacle and more about creating a space where people can slow down, notice, and feel.

 

Lucia has created installations for cultural institutions and public spaces including the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, and Carbondale Arts, among others.
